Item Card: Replenishment and Planning

Hi:

I have noticed that the Replenishment section of the Item Card is for purchased items, when the Replenishment System is "Purchase".

Why does the Planning section apply, though, to both purchased and sold items?

To me, it would make sense for "Planning" to pertain only to sold items.  I see that you cannot run Requisition Management, for purchased items, if there is no Reorder Policy for that purchased item in "Planning".

Thanks!

John

Think of this, you need to purchase the items. How many to buy, is there a preferred order quantity? When do you need them to arrive? Do you want to keep a maximum qty in inventory or just match qty ordered to demand quantity?

Planning parameters help answer the above questions for your purchased items.
