Custom field transfer through Intercompany

I have a need to pass a custom field from the Purchase Invoice line through to the related Intercompany General Journal that is created.
I have the field created on the Purchase line, but not sure how to go about where I need to add it and where within the codeunit ICInboxOutboxMgt to be able to transfer that so it would be created on the opposite company. 
I saw this post https://ivansingleton.dev/extending-intercompany-synchronization-in-business-central-intercompany-transactions/, but that is related to the Purchase to Sales intercompany transactions, rather than just journal line.

    You can’t just change ICInboxOutboxMgt. Intercompany journals go through IC buffer tables + XMLports. Your field must exist and be copied at each step.
    What actually works:
    Add your custom field to:
    IC Outbox Journal Line
    IC Inbox Journal Line
    Gen. Journal Line (target company)
    Extend the IC XMLport so the field is exported/imported (mandatory).
    Use event subscribers:
    Source side: copy value into IC Outbox Journal Line
    Target side (ICInboxOutboxMgt event): copy value from IC Inbox Journal Line → Gen. Journal Line
    Key point:
    IC does not serialize Purch. Inv. Lines directly. Everything flows through IC buffer tables + XML.
    No XMLport = field dies between companies.

    For intercompany general journals, you don’t extend ICInboxOutboxMgt directly; instead, you need to include your custom field in the IC Gen.
