When calculating a physical inventory for a specific category the items are all changing to a completely different category, any ideas

We've seen something similar to this and have reported it to MS.
If you have two different PIs created and open, when you commit, it takes the first PI info and commits the second. The only workaround we've found is to only enter and have open one PI at a time, commit it and move on and create the next one.
