Hi all,

Do you know if is possible to work with purchase invoice and:

- Have a GL account line with tax included (so you insert the value and te system calculates taxes from the total)?

- Also, I can take only 80 % of my tax value, can't take the whole amount. Is this configurable in BC?

Hi, If your tax account allows direct posting, you can directly insert the account in Purchase Line. But it is not automatically calculated based on the order amount.

If you do not directly insert the tax account, but calculate it based on the amount, you need to set up a VAT-related posting group on the account.

You can add line discount or invoice discount, but in BC it is not possible to only charge 80% of the tax.

Hi Yun Zhu,

I'm working with Canada distribution, by the way. I found out that 'Prices included VAT' checkbox is not enabled in this distribution. I tried adding it through Inspection, but it didn't allow me to post when the checkbox was on.

This is the current situation: the their previous system, the company created an invoice with an account. The previous system calculated taxes based on the total amount (so taxes were included in the price). Then depending on the situation, the user changed the tax distribution if there was some difference (in some ocassions, they need to take only 80% of the tax).

I can't replicate this same situation in BC, can I?
