Experts,

In the Dynamics online environment, we are getting an error of SQL Timed Out.

This is so strange to us, the whole entity \ table has only 5K records.

Further more, we can re-execute the same operation, then it might success.

Based on our observation, the pass rate is about 60% to 70%, i.e., you execute the same operation 100 times, 60 to 70 times it will success, the rest will fail.

Any idea except for opening a ticket with MS support, which we already did.

Please post a screenshot of the error message along with any associated log files.

Hi Ning,

What kind of operations are you doing with the current entity?

You mentioned that the whole entity\ table has only 5K records.

Does it refer to the number of current entity records? I don't think it's the number of all entity records in the environment, right?

If so, the reason for this may be the execution of a large number of other entity record influence operations related to the current entity.

For a quick resolution, the best thing to do is to raise a support ticket with Microsoft.

Just a like search for one of the text fields, and no linked entity in this search. So, it is a full table scan but only for 5K records, and we are not sure how this will be timed out. Still waiting for MS to response.
