How to track by product/Lot

The products we sell have lots numbers. Each product may have multiple lots. If there were a recall on a particular lot how would I use the system to find out where all of that recalled lot was sold to?  Is there a way I can see when all of a particular lot was ordered, how many and where or who that lot was sold to? Sorry if this is a noob question.
