Create Task on Contact via Workflow?

Is there a way in Dynamics CRM 2013 (hosted) to have a Workflow create a Task on a selected Contact?

The scenario we are going for is to have a tickler or reminder to reach out to a contact in six weeks. I thought using a task assigned to the Contact Owner would be the perfect way to track this. However, I cannot see how to kick off a task from within a Workflow.

I'm also open to alternative methods to solve this particular scenario beyond using Tasks and Workflows.

    You should be able to achieve this via workflows.

    Refer to the below post from PowerObjects on Time and Condition based workflows.
