Good afternoon
Wondering if anyone knows if it is possible via System Admin > Security configuration to disable access to
If possible what security items do I need to set DENY on?
Thanks in advance
James
Hi James,
I think this button cannot be hidden using the security roles.
It can be hidden from the coding part.
Thanks,
Girish S.
Thanks Girish
Actually, both forms will be added under "System user" role which will be default role added to every user. Without "System user" user cannot access the front end.
I just searched in Security configuration form - For filter pane refer to the below Security roles >> Duties >> Privilege >> Display menu item.
Security administrator (Role) >> Maintain security settings (Duty) >> SysUserInfoPage, SysUserInfoDetail, SysUserInfoPageEdit (Display menu items) >> Try setting this to Deny and check - I think this will disable the form for all the users.
I am not sure this will work but you can give it a try.
For Advance filter or sort options. Security roles >> Duties >> Privilege >> Display menu item. - System user (Role) >> SysQueryForm (Privileges) >> SysQueryForm (Display menu item) >> Try setting the Deny option and check.
What is the actual business problem you try to solve by restricting users to search for records on any form? I think by doing so, it would be a huge drawback for users being able to do their work in a quick and efficient way. If you have hundreds of customers and thousands of sales orders, users will definitely need filter options.
