one of our clients has the following business scenario:
They use external item descriptions and external item numbers on released products form to maintain specific descriptions and item numbers used by their vendors. This works well on purchase orders, descriptions and item numbers are printed for related vendor. But when it comes to requests for quotations (RFQ) they are not able to print external descriptions and item numbers on the RFQ document. There's only one field "Text" for the item description and one field "External" on the RFQ line but they can send one RFQ to multiple vendors.
So we are looking for a way to print related external descriptions and item numbers to each vendor who will receive the RFQ. But I don't see a way to solve it without customization. Has anyone had the same scenario? How did you solve it?
