Building iOS or Android app for Sales Order Status and Entry

Hi

Is it possible to build an standalone (not to use Powerapp) iOS or Android app for entering SO and retrieving SO status from BC? We want to release this app to our customers to enter SO or see their SO status. Also, our customer do not have BC users or license? 

If yes what is the best practice? Any guideline around? any similar project? 

Also, can we use Dataverse for this purpose?

    I am really not sure how the licensing will work but yes you will use one user authentication for the API to transfer data back and forth.

    Thanks for quick response.

    Basically we build the app then we use API to transfer data between app and BC.

    Also, user of the app does not need BC account. The only account is in use is API account? I mean we have many end users and we do not want to have that many BC licenses.

    yes, you can build one but there are no specific guidelines or practice for those projects. You need to check App development for those platforms, you can use API for integration.
