Upgrade 2011 to 365 v8.2.2: impact on sharepoint

We are currently working on an upgrade of our applications from 2011 to 365, both on-prem.

After the upgrade, I tried to open the documents stored in SharePoint.

It works fine in Chrome, however I got an error in IE11.
When switching the document mode from 11 to 10 it works fine. But we cannot request our users to do that.

For SharePoint, we still use the site that was setup for the crm 2011, and use the list component.

Does anyone know if this could cause the error (XPathEvaluator not defined)? If we upgrade the component, can we still connect from our 2011 environments to the SharePoint?

Any other suggestions what could be the cause and how we could solve it?

Colleague adapted the main aspx page to include IE10 comptaibility. This solved the issue.

    We are on SharePoint2010.

No effort has been made to shift to server-side integration because we have plenty of plugins interfering with SharePoint (dating before I joined the project), and because we might move away from SharePoint is document system.

I contacted the SharePoint team to verify the version of the list component installed. I'm waiting their feedback (as I don't have necessary permissions myself).

    Hi Birgit,

I think you also need to upgrade the List Component: www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx if not already did so.

    What SharePoint are you using?

Please keep in mind that as a result of SharePoint deprecating their Sandbox Service, CRM has also deprecated the CRM List Component ( which is a SP Sandboxed solution) and is pushing towards the CRM - SharePoint Server to Server Integration.

    See : docs.microsoft.com/.../important-considerations-server-based-sharepoint-integration

My personal recommendation is that since you are upgrading your environment, to switch also from the List Component to the new Server Integration.

    Hope this helps!

    Radu
