RDL Sandboxing parameters in sandbox vs dev

Hello,

From the below url

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/report-server-sharepoint/enable-and-disable-rdl-sandboxing?view=sql-server-2017

Is there any way to check which types are allowed in a sandbox environment? Or somehow check the RSReportServer.Config and possibly add any types if possible?

I have a situation where if RDL Sandboxing is enabled in a dev machine(copied the example configuration like in the url above), but some very important rdl methods like IIF result in error.

I checked also standard reports (like SalesInvoice) duplicated it but get error because of RDL Sandboxing

An error occurred while deploying the report SalesInvoiceCopy.Report, ...
This might be because the SQL Server Reporting Services has not been installed, or is not configured correctly.
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: The report server has RDLSandboxing enabled and the Hidden expression for the grouping 'Table_0_Group3' contains a reference to a type, namespace, or member 'IIf' that is not allowed. Change the expression to include only allowed namespaces, types, and members.

It makes no sense to me to copy a standard report and this is not working, so i think i'm missing something in the configuration

Thanks in advance,

I have the same question (0)

    Hi mbazioss,

Is the question related to a cloud hosted or on-premise environment?

If it is about a cloud hosted UAT environment, you can better create a ticket for Microsoft Support as you can't change configurations on Microsoft managed UAT and production environments.
