RTM: Where can I find the cancelled registrations?

In Outbound-Marketing the cancelled registrations had an overview under the "Registration and attendance" tab:

This overview seems to be gone in RTM. Any ideas on how to retrieve it?

Good morning, evening, or afternoon :) depending on your location!
    Hope you are well today!

    • In Real-Time Marketing (RTM), the way canceled registrations are managed has shifted compared to Outbound Marketing. While the "Registration and attendance" tab in Outbound Marketing provided a direct overview of canceled registrations, RTM organizes this information differently.
      • To find canceled registrations in RTM:
        • Navigate to the Event Management section in Customer Insights - Journeys.
        • Look for the specific event you're managing and open its details.
        • Within the event details, check the Registration Insights or related analytics sections. Canceled registrations are often tracked as part of the overall registration status metrics.

    Hope this helps some!

    Hello Jaa,

You're right to point out the difference in how cancelled registrations are handled in Real-time Marketing (RTM) compared to Outbound Marketing. This is a common point of confusion during the transition.

    The Shift in Real-time Marketing:

    • Focus on Segments and Journeys: Real-time Marketing emphasizes customer journeys and segments for targeting and engagement.
    • Event Management Changes: Event management in RTM is more integrated with customer journeys and data profiles.
    • No Direct "Registration and Attendance" Tab: The dedicated "Registration and Attendance" tab from Outbound Marketing is indeed absent in RTM.

    •

How to Retrieve Cancelled Registrations in Real-time Marketing:

    1. Event Segments:

      • The primary way to find cancelled registrations in RTM is through event segments.
      • You can create dynamic segments that target contacts or leads who have cancelled their event registrations.

      • Segment Criteria:

        • Use the "Event Registration" entity and filter based on the "Registration Status" field.
        • Select "Cancelled" as the registration status.

      • This segment will then contain all the people who have cancelled their registrations.

    2. Customer Insights - Data:

      • Real-time Marketing heavily relies on Customer Insights - Data for data unification and segmentation.
      • If you have Customer Insights - Data, you can create segments based on event registration data.
      • This provides more advanced segmentation capabilities.

    3. Event Insights:

      • Within the event record in RTM, you can view event insights.
      • While it might not provide a dedicated "cancelled registrations" list, you can analyze registration trends and identify cancellations.

    4. Journeys:

      • If you use customer journeys for event registration, you can track cancellations within the journey's analytics.
      • You can see who has exited the journey due to cancellation.

    5. API Access:

      • For more advanced reporting and analysis, you can use the Dynamics 365 Customer Insights - Journeys API to retrieve event registration data.
      • This allows you to create custom reports and dashboards.

      •

    6.

    Key Differences and Considerations:

    • Segmentation-Driven Approach: RTM relies more on segmentation to identify specific groups of registrants, including those who have cancelled.
    • Data Integration: RTM's event management is more tightly integrated with customer data, providing a more holistic view of customer engagement.
    • Reporting: RTM's reporting capabilities are more focused on journey analytics and customer insights.

    •

    Recommendations:

    • Focus on creating event segments to identify cancelled registrations.
    • Utilize Customer Insights - Data for advanced segmentation.
    • Explore event insights and journey analytics for registration trends.
    • Consider API access for custom reporting.

By adopting these approaches, you can effectively retrieve and analyze cancelled event registrations in Real-time Marketing.

Thank you both for your helpful responses. Where exactly can I find the Registration / Events Insights that you mentioned? We currently have a customized view of the event form, so I can't find any analytics there.
