I keep running into this error for one of my part numbers and have no idea where or whats going wrong for this to occur. Any ideas as to where I can look to narrow this error down?

This error only appears when trying to "End" a Production order. "Please see the attached screenshot"

Thanks in advance!

can you check  your inventory unit  and its sign,  it seems posting unit is not in correct sign as expected in DAX.

    Hi Hans,

Can you verify which BOM items are used and if they probably have a negative inventory value? You can look at the on-hand form to see the current values.

    Hi André,

There is only one item on the BOM and the only negative transaction in the on-hand screen is the Physical Cost Amount.

    Hi Hans,

I'm quite sure the negative physical value is causing your problem. I don't know which transactions are related to this situation. Can you check the transaction and see if there is something weird? Probably in a test environment you can play around by adding new on-hand to increase the current physical value. Then see if yu are able to post.

The negative value in physical should be adjusted when closing, so something isn't right.

Suggest you do as André said. Get your physical value above 0.

Hello. I'm having the same problem, even with my items being positive financial cost.

    How I solved this error?

Unfortunately we had some consultants look at this issue for us and I'm sure they did the dirty database fixes that they are all famous for when they cant figure out the root cause.

Sorry but I have no more information to share on this subject or I would have shared the info.

However if we ever run into this again and figure out the root cause I will come back and share the root cause with the AX community!  Good luck all and thanks again for the suggestions.
