GP2018 Checkbook Balance Inquiry Fails after upgrade

I have a client that recently upgraded to GP2018 from GP2016.  They are finding after the fact that they cannot use the Checkbook Balance Inquiry feature.  If they attempt to access a checkbook through the screen, the screen pauses and eventually shuts down.  This happens regardless of company or user.  We can also replicate when logged in as sa.  I saw a previous case from a few months back had the same issue but no posted resolution, only a couple of suggestions to check for blank records, but that does not seem to apply in our case.

Is this a known issue and is there a resolution available?  Please advise.  Look forward to response.

    JG,

Did you try to run a DEXSQL trace as suggested in the other thread ? What build of GP 2018 are you on ?

Have you applied the most recent service pack to GP 2018?
