Field 'Source legal entity' must be filled in.

Hi,

I have a custom entity that I am able to export on my dev machine to the BYOD.

The entity has been deployed to UAT. I am not able to export it, and also checking the job I created to export, I get the following error "Field 'Source legal entity' must be filled in." And I am not sure what it means.

Any idea why I can export on my dev and not on UAT? Also, what does the error means?

    Hi Astrid,

    Can you export this entity to Excel on UAT environment?

    Does UAT and DEV have same version?

    The error message means that the Field 'Source legal entity' is empty when it tries to export data.

    As a test try to click on "Generate mapping" on the entity and then save it an create a new export job and export the entity to excel to check if it works. If yes, publish it against AzureSQLDB and create a new export job.

    thanks for your reply, i cannot find that column on the entity mapping, that is also the issue. i did not create the entity, i will check about the version, but i think it is the same.

    We discovered that this issue is related to the feature "(Preview) Ensure required unbound controls are filled in".

    When this is enabled it seems to require that you enter a value in this field, however this field does not exist / apply to Import / Export DIXF projects.  It is only visible if you create a project of type "Copy into legal entity".  Disabling this feature corrected the issue.

    Where did you disable which feature? AFAIK you cannot choose any kind of export type for a project

    Hi, It will be in Feature Management workspace. You can access it from Workspaces or from System Administration module.
