To cancel a PO that has sales commitment

We have a situation where a sales order has PO link but the sales order is already invoiced and moved to history. Now while trying to cancel the PO by removing the link the following message is appearing.

"We can't remove the purchase order commitment from the item. The item is attached to a sales document that has been moved to history".

What's the best way to remove the link and cancel the PO ?

Thanks

Ajit

RE: To cancel a PO that has sales commitment

    Hi Ajit,

I recently opened a support incident with Microsoft to resolve this same thing. We ended up running some scripts in SQL to manually close out the PO.

There is good information about what to update on Victoria Yudin's blog (victoriayudin.com/.../pop-tables) but I recommend dealing with Microsoft support to make sure you will be supported if something goes wrong.

    Good Luck,

    Kirk
