Don't know why I am getting filter tab in account or contact entity by default while loading every time under Timeline which is opening some filter, I am attaching a screenshot of the same.
This only happening in sandbox while not in my trail account.

Maybe you can go to check ‘ Expand filter pane by default’ option is checked or not?
Go Settings > Customizations >Customize the system > Entities > one entity > One form.
Open one form you need and click timeline control to open ‘Activities Tab Properties’ dialog.
Then check ‘ Expand filter pane by default’ option.
