Quick create form formatting issue after v9 upgrade

We have a quick create form where we're only using one section of the three.  In v8, it displayed as we wanted - the fields in the left part of the form, and white space to the right.  However, now that we've updated to v9, there are two vertical lines showing between where the sections are - basically like separators?  So we have fields, the line, blank space, another line, blank space.  Which looks bad, obviously.

How can I get rid of these?  Because it's quick create, it won't let me remove sections, or set fields to span sections.  I tried setting the unused sections to not be visible, but the lines are still there.  I tried setting the width percentage of the first section to 100%, and the others to 0% - this still showed the lines, and then seemed to break the form.  No further changes I made would reflect onscreen, no matter what I did.  I had to completely delete the form and start over to get it working again.

Can anyone confirm whether they're seeing these lines on quick create forms in v9 at all, or if it's something odd with our environment?  Someone on-prem v9 would be the best double check, but someone online (ideally on 9.0) would also be interesting...

Since you are not allowed to change the layout of tab control, its not possible to remove those lines using any supported way. I know its frustrating, however thats the way it is for the moment. Perhaps in later releases they will address this.

    hope this helps.

So those lines were added for version 9?  It's making a lot of our QC forms look terrible - I'm surprised I hadn't heard any issues with it or see any notes about it anywhere.  Does everyone just always use all three columns on all their forms?

Quick create forms use 3 sections and sections are meant for reflow & responsive design layout. If you see QC in UCI they will load as flyout in right (unlike top flyout in web), they render one section below other.

Yes in top flyout also we use 3 sections to distribute controls. Not always, sometimes in single section. Definitely white boxes or lines are not encouraged. Hopefully they ll fix it in next update.

I tried to put this in as a suggestion on the Ideas site, but I couldn't in any browser I tried - it was requiring a Category, but there were no options in the drop down.  So if anyone has a different channel to get this feedback in (or if Ideas magically works for others)...
