MPS Not Considering Inventory at All Locations

Hello,

I have an item that is produced at location X and then transferred to location Y for storage. MPS continues to suggest production above the actual need because it is not considering the inventory at location Y in its assumptions. I have SKU cards set up for both locations but can not seem to troubleshoot the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

How is the orde planning defined for your item?

Looks like I do not have permission to view order planning but I will reach out to my support team.

per my knowledge, the order planning and planning worksheets are different planning tools in NAV. The issue resides in planning worksheets which run the MPS and MRP.

Do you know how to navigate this issue using MPS?

you could check the replenishment system setup of each SKU for each location as well as other planning parameters such as safety stock, reorder point etc. Try to work on one item only to simplify the troubleshooting.  It gets tricky to make the planning worksheet as expected. Remove the parameter if not needed.

here is a link that might help. learn.microsoft.com/.../design-details-lot-for-lot

but you need to test a bunch to figure out how it work.
