Auto complete on text field does not allow to enter a new value

Hi All,

I have a requirement where a text field should provide search capability or something like a type ahead property. I tried the auto complete control.

However, Auto complete works like a drop down and does not allow a new value to be inserted other than what are already existing.

Do we have some functionality so that when a user types the initial letters it will suggest the existing word and also allow some new value to be inserted.

Auto-complete will only show a subset of records, user needs to start typing for more accurate suggestions.

For a Text field, there isn't any other way wherein user can add a new value, Instead this criteria can be fulfilled by a lookup field.
