Hello:

Cannot find a SQL 2014 Profiler .tdf file on PartnerSource.  Did find SQL 2000 thru 2012 versions.  SQL 2012 tdf will not load on SQL 2014 Profiler.  Using SL2015CU1.

Is a SQL 2014 version tdf file available for Profiler somewhere?

    Mike,

    It works fine in 2014. You just need to import it and move it by hand to run it against a 2014 DB.

    1. Import the SL Support.tdf into 2014.

    2. In this step, the new template will only run against 2012 instances of SQL Server, not 2014.

    3. Close the profiler and go copy the file from the folder holding 2012 templates:

    C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SQL Profiler\12.0\Templates\Microsoft SQL Server\110

    to the 2014 folder:

    C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SQL Profiler\12.0\Templates\Microsoft SQL Server\120

    4. It will now show up in the template list when you do a new trace.
