Copy of Check with stub top/bottom in report writer

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello

I need to use the check format with stub top/bottom again with different format changes. I tried to copy a version of an unmodified stub with top/bottom to the user defined 1 and 2 and check with stub on top formats then changing the names of the report. But the only section that prints is the header section. The body details and footer do not print. I have done this before and cannot figure out why it is not working this time. We are using GP 2015

Please help

Thanks

Leslie I believe was correct about the tables.  I tried the same thing and got the same results, albeit in GP 2016.

After reading this post, I tried the text format again, but that failed because no matter what, the format still came out like a text report (even though it looked just like the graphical report when editing it in RW).  Fun.

Then I added all the normal check formats into RW, and checked the tables.  The only one that matched was 2 stubs on top (Stub/Stub/Check when printing in GP).  I did the report rename and that worked.

So, 2 Stubs on Top is the way to go here.

    Tam,

The Stub on Top and the Stub on Top and Bottom do not have the same number of tables. Your copy to and copy from formats for the check should have the same number of tables.

    Hi Leslie

Thanks for the response and apologize for the late reply. Got pulled away on something else but this is a priority now so any assistance is appreciated.

I tried copying the stub top/bottom text to the stub on top as per the suggestion and got the same result, ie only header prints. What were your results?

This is critical so if there are other suggestions I would love to hear.

    Thanks in advance

Maybe the third time's the charm. I've been tryin to post this answer, but my system locks up each time I try. I think your report is failing because the two formats do not contain the same number of tables. Try instead the Check with Stub Top/Bottom text report. Both of those formats include 5 tables whereas the format you used includes 7 tables.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
