WBS from Project Service 2.x doesn't load in Project Service Upgrade 3.x

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

I'm testing the PSA 3.x upgrade in our sandbox with the unified interface.  I tried opening a previously created project that has a WBS and it just sits with the "Loading WBS data. . ." going. It never opens in the Schedule tab.

Creating a new project and creating a new schedule works fine.

Will the old version of the schedule (WBS) not work?  Is this expected? Do those old WBSs have to be completely recreated?

Thanks,

Beth

It happens to few of the older project records that were created in PSA 2.x version but not all of them. It could be because of no related project  tasks to those projects, try checking it through advance find by looking on the project tasks related to a project and also there could be system jobs failed

    Hello Beth,

You mentioned that turning on “Use legacy form rendering” fixed the issue. Does that mean that you are testing this outside of Unified Interface? Project Service Automation 3.x isn't supported on the legacy web client.

I would open a support request to be sure: admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/support

    Never mind.

Turning on "Use legacy form rendering" seems to have fixed this. Hopefully, it doesn't break something else.
