what kind of batch do you want to transfer? Are you wanting to paste Journal entries into Excel from an Excel spreadsheet? If so, those are not batches of entries, I believe that's one entry at a time. Integration Manager, SmartConnect, eConnect, and VKonnact will all pull entire batches into the system. So, what exactly are you trying to do?
Kind regards,
Leslie
What I would to know is if I can transfer batches to an excel sheet that will also contain the nominal accounts of the double entry.
Thanks and regards,
Alexander,
More info is needed. If you are looking for a way to export to Excel from GP 2015, it would be easy enough to export financial batch information through a SmartList of Financial Transactions using the Batch Number as your search criteria.
If you are looking for subledger batch information (PM, RM, etc.), the GL account distributions can be accessed using SmartList Designer or SmartList Builder.
You can also use Excel Reports for either financial batches or subledger batches, but again, for subledger batch information down to the GL distribution level you would need to modify the SQL query used.
Hope that helps,
Jeff Pfershy
I want to transfer these batches to an excel file (screenshot attached). In the excel file I would like the nominal accounts to be shown and not just the batch ID.
Thank you for the screenshot. These are 'Navigation Lists', which allow to add select (few) columns that are directly related to the list type. In this case, the list type is Payables Batches. The list of any additional columns available can be seen by choosing one of the lists below Payables Batches - 'Pending Approval' or 'Not Submitted', then choose Customize from the small drop-down by the list name and click the arrow by Columns. Unfortunately the fields available will be directly related to the batch header rather than the details of transactions within the batch. The Payables Transactions navigation list won't help either as the Batch ID field is not available in that list group.
I would start with a Payables Transactions SmartList (Microsoft Dynamics GP > Smartlist > Purchasing > Payables Transactions > *). You can click on the Columns button to rename, position and add/delete columns, and the Search button to filter by a batch or batches. To save your Smartlist for future use, click the Favorites button at the top, give it a name and click Add (or modify to make changes afterwards).
If you need information down to the GL account distributions in each invoice, you would need to use Smartlist Designer or SmartList Builder, an add-on product from eOne to create a more complex SmartList.
SmartLists can be easily exported to Excel by clicking the Excel button in the ribbon. The screenshot below is from GP 2016 R2, but functionality other than the SmartList Designer has been available in GP for over 10 years. Here is a simple Favorite I created searching for Batch Number = 'PAYABLES BATCH' and adding the Document Amount and renaming a few columns.
