I'm trying to connect to the database that's sitting on D365FO Tier 1 environment, Azure VM.

Its a 1433 port connection I'm trying to establish from my local machine. Teh VM IPs are internally routed in our company. I have setup proper network security group rules for the MS SQL 1433 connection yet I'm getting network error.

Anyone had this need case and were able to establish such connection from their computer/machine?

I have a similar question. In my DEV environment, I see all the data when I log in at the front end to D365. but when I remote into VM and login using SSMS, the tables do not show any data. What am I missing?

I'm getting below error:

Connecting from SSMS from my laptop

Username and password are correct, using SQL credentials from LCS page

I have made sure the Azure VM does have remote access for SQL connection

1433 port on the Azure VM is Active and enabled

No firewall blocks on the company's internal network level

On Azure portal I have created Network Security Groups with proper inbound rule to allow MS SQL 1433 connection from our company's internal IP range set.

What kind of network error are you getting, and how are you trying to connect to it (SSMS)?
