Add column to VendInvoiceJour

Hi everyone,

I was hoping you could help me with what I hope is a simple query.

I am looking to add another column (Created By) into the table VendInvoiceJour. This table can be accessed via Purchase Ledger > Inquiries > Invoice Journal. I right clicked and clicked on personalise which provides me with the option to add this column however it doesn't seem to save this change when I exit the form. Can someone please provide me with the direct process for this?

I might also add I am doing this for another user. So will the customised changes I make be applied to all the users accounts or just mine?

Thanks,

Henna

First of all you are referring a path to a Form, so you are not adding the additional field via Personalization to a table, but to a form.

The Personalization feature is only affecting the currently logged on user, however, you can save the layout and then retrieve that layout by the name with another user account in the Personalization menu.

If you want the field to be generally available for all users, then the Form itself needs to be modified in the AOT.

Since you are new to this, let me stress: no direct changes of code/AOT objects are allowed in a Production instance, but you need to use a ModelStore release from a Build/Staging environment.

If you want that to be available for all users, you can get that customized.

    Hi Henna,

You can personalize the screen and add the created by field and save the personalization changes. Also, the same changes can be retrieved for other user.

If the same changes need for all the users, you have go to the AOT and add the created by field in form design and save it. It will impact in all the users screen.

    Thanks,
