Hi Everyone,

There is a query, whenever I run the Sales Cycle Stage in Business Central. I have Created 3 Tasks in the Stages and when i run the cycle it create duplication of the Task in the Task Lists.

    Hi
Is the query custom or standard? When you say it duplicates it, do you mean the view or post it?

Checked also the Demo company and seems it is the same behavior there.
For meetings I can think of logic that it creates a task for each attendee, but for the empty or other Task Types not sure why it creates a duplicate. Only difference I found is the Task No. and Contact No. filled in. So maybe it is creating a task like for the Contact No and for the Salesperson separately - similarly as
    checked in BC 23.2 version.

Hopefully someone else can explain this :)

There is always a record per Attendee. Seems to be a bug, but ... its by design.
The list contains the main tasks, the organizer task per task, and the subtasks, all non-organizer tasks.
So best is to create to filters using the field "System Task Type".

I rearranged the fields in the Task List, added the "System Task Type" field, faded out some of the less important fields to get a better overview of that list.

    Main Tasks

    Sub Tasks

Are the sub tasks needed? not really. Alle task informations are shown in the main task. There the attendee list can be shown via a menu action, if the task is of type Meeting. Better would be to show the attende list as part of the task card like in the "Create Task" Card (Wizard) and not as extra page. But back to the sub task topic: Best is to deactivate the call of procedure "CreateSubTask" in table "To-do" to avoid these useless sub tasks.

    cheers
