My company sells cleaning solution that we mix and bottle on site and need to capture and track the two inputs: 1) bottle; & 2) fluid. We need a separate item lookup code for PO and receiving purposes however we want to sell them as a package at the cash register. I like the way that the "assembly" functionality works however it displays the individual items on the customer receipt as opposed to the packaged price. Has anyone found a way to consolidate the items on the customer receipt such that it only has one description and one price for the package?
I understand that the "kit" functionality does present the products as a package on the receipt however it doesn't deplete the inventory as part of the sale. For that reason, I would prefer to use assemblies.

Because an assembly can be created/changed on the fly, it really needs to have the individual items on the receipt. unlike a kit that cannot be changed when sold.
If you create the kit item but do not build any of the items it will allow you to sell the item and it takes out the inventory of the products in the qtys in the kit.
