when executing sales order the system won't allow me to pick items for sales, even though i see the on hand available quantities, what is the problem

You need t provide some information- maybe its in a different WH than the one specified on the sales order line, maybe it s marked to another order, maybe the inventory is blocked, maybe you are looking at a different item variant......we can only guess.,

Might be your role or some other setups that prevent you from picking.
