roi is not working

ReportReport
Posted on by

When one of my users try to export the output from a cristal report to pdf or Excel , roi.exe stop working and she has to kill the process through task manager.

Another user had the same problema, it started like this, but after a time, roi.exe stopped to  work at all.

Both users have Windows 7 Pro 64 bits, Office 2010 64 bits.

Please give a tip, so I can have a starting point to solve this problema.

Thanks in advance.

What version of Dynamics SL is being used?  Is this a custom report using any Crystal Reports parameters?  Does the report print fine and the problem is only when trying to print to a file using SL ROI?

SL 2011 with Service Pack 2. We are using the standard reports, and yes it prints fine, the problema appears when they try to export the report output to a file (print preview -> export)

    Hi Luis,

From KB article 846977...hope this helps. Renee

To successfully export Solomon reports to a PDF format, the following .dll files are required:

    • Crxf_pdf.dll : C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin
    • crxf_pdf_res_en.DLL : C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin
    • Exportmodeller.dll: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin
    • Crtslv.dll: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin

To successfully export reports to an Excel format, the following .DLL files are required:

    • Crxf_xls.dll: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin
    • crxf_xls_res_en.DLL : C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin
    • Exportmodeller.dll: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin
    • Crtslv.dll: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin

To successfully export reports to a Word format, the following .DLL files are required:

    • Crxf_wordw.dll: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin
    • crxf_wordw_res_en.DLL : C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin
    • Exportmodeller.dll: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin
    • Crtslv.dll: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin

    Notes
If the .DLL files do not exist, you must uninstall and then reinstall the Microsoft Dynamics SL client.
If the .DLL files exist in the correct locations but you cannot export the reports to the appropriate format, you must manually register the Exportmodeller.DLL and Crtslv.DLL files.
