Unit Of Measure (UOM)

I am trying to enter a UOM so that it is visible and choose able from the "Inventory Units List". I am aware of the Product Classes and the Unit Conversions windows. I have entered the UOM in the conversion window. We are trying to enter POs and SOs with this unit of measure but it is not in the list to be chosen. How do I get it in the list?

Thanks in advance !

    Hello Pharma

Once if you defined the Stoking Unit, Purchasing Unit and Sales Unit in Product Classes (10.280.00) screen then while creating the Inventory Item, If you selected the appropriate Product Class ID then Stoking Unit, Purchasing Unit and Sales Unit will be defaulted in Inventory Items (10.250.00) screen based on the selected Category.

You can override those UOM by changing the Stoking Unit, Purchasing Unit and Sales Unit values in Inventory Items screen

    Hope this helps

    Thanks & Regards

If you want to specify the different UOM in PO and SO then first create the multiple combination of Unit Conversion  in Unit Conversions(10.270.00) Screen.

    Hope this Helps

    Thanks & Regards

    Santhosh,

This does help greatly. I believe I must be missing something. I have in the unit conversions L -L, L-KG, and KG-L. I am trying to make a PO for Liters but L is not a choice.

For the item itself, I have the choice of Liters in Stocking UOM but not is Purchase or Sales UOM.  We stock in KG but the customer requires us to sell in Liters.

    Thank you!!

Have you specified the Stoking Unit and Purchasing Unit as Liters and Sales Unit as KG?

We want our stock and purchase unit to be KGs and only the sale unit to be Liters.

It may be helpful to post a screen shot of your Unit Conversions screen (10.27), like the example above.

I was thinking so and I thought I did in my last comment but now I believe I have figured out the Missed Step. Thank you!
