Email Conversion to Opportunity and Case - Owner

Hi,

When we convert an email to opportunity, then owner of opportunity is the owner of email. But when we convert email to Case, then owner of case is the Logged in user who have actually converted the activity to Case.

Can anyone explain why the owner differs?
