Management Reporter - invalid object name MC40000

We are doing a new install of Management Reporter and, while attempting to build the DataMart, it errors out. When we look in Event Viewer, we see "Invalid object name MC40000".  What are we missing?

  • RE: Management Reporter - invalid object name MC40000

We opened a support case with Microsoft.  There was a company in the SY01500 table that did not have the MC40000 table in it.  We removed the company from the SY01500 table and were able to install MR.  Thank you for your responses.

    Hi Rochelle,

Do you have a Fabrikam company, and does it have a Functional currency?

Do you have any test companies? They need to be setup as well, even if you do not have them setup in Management Reporter.

  • RE: Management Reporter - invalid object name MC40000

We made sure a functional currency is set up for each company, and verified in SQL that there is a MC40000 table in each company.  Any other recommendations?

    Hello Deborah

Is this an operational company ? If so, would you please go to Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Financial > Multi currency. Have you completed the setup for this window. Check whether it gives any error.

Additionally, just for the sake of argument, would you please check the table on the SQL management studio under the company database, does it even exist, and have records

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,

    Hello Geoff,

We tried your suggestion but unfortunately we still get the same error. Any other ideas?

    Thank you!

    Deborah

    Hi Geoff,

Thank you so much!  We'll give that a try.

    Hi Deb,

If you can start the Configuration Console, there is a link to update Change Tracking.

When you run that you will fix your issue. If you cannot start Configuration Console, open SQL Server instance and right click on your company database. Select Properties --> Change Tracking --> Change Tracking and change to true. Then repeat the process on the MC4000 table in the company database.

If you can then access the Configuration Console run the Change Tracking which will update the other tables.
