Hi,
in the event that a company is moving its business from one system to CRM on the cloud, what does "data migration" basically means, and how is it performed?
Can you please provide some examples or tutorials with steps and screens, if any?

If data is less then you can use OOB data export/Import feature - docs.microsoft.com/.../import-accounts-leads-other-data
If data is more and involve complex business logic then you should consider using Kingsway software for data migration - www.kingswaysoft.com/.../ssis-integration-toolkit-for-microsoft-dynamics-crm
You can also write Custom utility using C# and CRM SDK to migrate your data.
