I running GP 8 service pack 5. I created a chequebook and when i try and make a transfer out of it i get the massage '' Do you want to Add this chequebook. When i click on add it take me to the chequebook maintenance window.
Hasnt anyone come across this problem before

Am using Cashbook Bank Management- To setup the checkbook i went to Cards > Financial > Bank Management > Setup > Chequebooks
Please note that GP has 2 bank management modules: Cashbook Bank Management & Bank Reconciliation. I suspect you are creating the checkbook in one module and attempting to access it through the other module.
NB: Some functionalities of Bank Rec module are available even when the module is not licensed - as long as you have AP and AR.

Thanks for the responce. I created a new checkbook but still got the same error. Am using the lookup window to select the checkbook. So the question of mistyping the ID is out. I ran checklinks ut there are no errors. I cannot delete the Checkbook as some transactions have been posted to.
I have never come across it before but make sure you try to use the lookup window instead of typing the checkbook name in the field. The only reason I can see this happening is if you typed it wrong one time (extra space, mis-spelling) and it is on your Autocompletes list and you keep selecting the wrong one. Using the lookup button will let you pick actual checkbooks that already exist. If you see the checkbook name in the list when you do the lookup, select it, and if it still says "Do you want to add this," then you have some other issue that needs to be fixed. If there haven't been any transactions, try deleting the checkbook and then entering it again. Hoep this helps.
