Automatically create a service report in BC

ReportReport

Hey,

Is there a possibility that you can have data from a service order automatically processed on an inspection / inspection report?

For example, a customer hands in a car to us, and we check the tire pressure, CO2 emissions and the number of kilometers and process these in the business central.

Now we have to create a separate document where we fill this in for a second time. I would like that when we close a service order, a report is automatically generated that contains the values of the fields selected by me (when building a document)

It would be great if we could email it to the specified email address.

This concerns the service department in the building, not externally.

I'd love to hear your suggestions.

What you are asking for should be totally possible to achieve. But it looks like you will need some customization in order to get there,

The standard functionality does not cover this functionality, but your Business Central partner should be able to help you design and develop this.

Hi,  as NorthW said, this need come customization.

You need to develop a report first, and then you need a feature that automatically sends emails.

PS: You can also send a message to Teams

    Hope this will help.

    Hi,

I think Service module is the out-of-box feature for you.

Based on the service contract, you can generate a service order. Service items listed in the service contract can be automatically inserted into the service order. Although the item to be measured (e.g. Tire Pressure) is not a service item, it can be included in the service order as an item for recording by defining it as a service with a unit price of 0 yen. All you have to do is enter the measurement results and the billable work hours into the service order and post it. You can also print out the service order. There is also a standard printable report. If you don't like the layout, you can customize it to change the report layout.

I'm happy to be of help.

    Enpresa,

I just did this for a customer who wanted a Service Inspection document to printout when printing the Service Ticket or print as a stand-alone. This is a custom report (extension) and very easy to accomplish. We are actually looking to move this from paper to a Page to fill out and store. We will still print results for the customer if they want a copy.

    Thanks,

    Steve
