Hello everyone,
At my workplace we have a requirement to connect our CRM to Tableau using OData. So far here is what I have done:
1) Created and registered an app in Azure and gave all the required API permissions.
2) I have created a new Application user in the desired environment and used the Application ID to register the app and it has been activated.
3) The app has been granted system admin privileges.
4) I have also registered Tableau Cloud into Azure for single sign-on but I don't think this step is required to make this process step but as a precautionary step, I did that too for further integration.
Nothing works, I still get the 401 Unauthorized error when trying to connect using OData.
Again, we do not want to use any third party app like Skyvia to connect. We want a direct connection just like how we can connect to PowerBI or Excel using OData.
This is a problem which has been going on a for a while so if anyone has an idea of what I am missing or something to try out that would be much appreciated.
