    It depends.

For example, it depends on which features you want to use. For example, if you want to use SSRS reports, you must have a report server running.

It also depends on what kind of environment you're talking about (development, sandbox in cloud, production on-premises...).

    Okay , what about for:

    1. Dynamics 365 for F & O on cloud ?

    2. Production on Premises?

    Did you check the documentation?

    [View:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/unified-operations/dev-itpro/get-started/system-requirements#minimum-infrastructure-requirements:750:50]

The minimum infrastructure diagrams' servers are referring to the specific software components required.

What i got from your link is :

"Finance and Operations (on-premises) uses Microsoft Azure Service Fabric to host the AOS, Batch, Data management, Management reporter, and Environment orchestrator services. "

So it means these are some services mentioned above would be available as window service ? please clear it in more simple way so i can understand

No, your understanding of this sentence is wrong. It says that these services are hosted in a Service Fabric cluster, not directly in Windows.

If you want to learn more about Service Fabric, consider the learning path in documentation.

Thanks Martin, I will read this.

I would say that I saw Batch service as window service ...what is that?

Did you look into on-premises deployment of a sandbox or production environment? I doubt so; I don't think you would have these question if you had such an environment. You should trust a documentation a bit more.

I guess you looked at a development VM, which is a completely different topic. There indeed is a Windows Service and not Service Fabric as with on-premises deployments.

You are correct Martin! I looked at a development VM. So For On-premises (Sandbox/Production environment) , it is hosed on Service Fabric .
