Adding an image control to a form

Posted on by 6,603
Hello:

Hoping to get pointed in the right direction. The requirement is I would like to add a control to the Sites form which would allow me to upload an image to the Site record. I imagine it would be much like how the logo or report logo images are associated / added for legal entities. I would like to have the same options to 'change' and 'remove' as with the logo. I have no idea how to do this.

Thanks.

    Hi bankk,

can you please report this to the dynamics community by following those steps:

You need to get the network trace .har file and send it by following those steps:
    1. Navigate to the forum thread page where the issue is encountered.
    2. Scroll to the checkbox that needs to be recorded.
    3. Right-click or press F12 to inspect and open the developer window to its maximum size.
    4. Click on the "Network" tab within the developer window.
    5. In the dropdown menu next to 'invert,' select 'XHR and Fetch.'
    6. Next to the red circle on the left side, click the black circle with a line through it to clear the log file.
    7. Click the 'does this answer your question' checkbox; the network calls will populate in the tool.
    8. Click the down arrow in the middle of the browser dev tool to download the .har file.
    9. Attach the downloaded .har file to the ADO ticket or send it via email, indicating the user.

    Hello Layan,
The attachment suggestion was much simpler, and it worked fine for what I needed.
The site is stalling when I mark your reply as the solution. I will continue to try periodically.
    Thank you!

    Hello Layan,
I think your suggestion with using the record attachment will likely work for me rather than what I was originally thinking. I'll give attachments a try first. Thank you!

    Hi bahnk,

Do you mean you want the same functionality in Legal entities form?
then go to the form as Martin said, and see what was done, then do the same

you could also add attachments to the Sites record and upload an image without customization, if this would suit your requirement

    Thanks,
    Layan Jweihan

You know where to see such logic in a standard form and you have access to all source code, so you can go and take a look. That's the best how to learn such things. Ask here when you run into something that you don't understand.
