Business central, Item overview incl Qty on purchase order, sales order?

In order versions of Navision it was possible to have an item overview incl qty on purchase order, sales order and cost etc. Picture underneath.

Is that possible in business central?

Right now I can just see inventory, cost etc. on the main overview. I have to click on the item card to see more information like purchase order and sales order.

I have the same question (0)

    Hey Michel,

This is generally the sort of thing that you'd need to extend in using design mode in your sandbox. It's a bit fiddly however as you'd need to build it as an extension after adding the fields that you want.

My assumption is the you want something like the below?:

Please let me know if you'd like assistance with this, it's the sort of thing we do on a regular basis.

    Thanks

    Adam

    Hi Adam,

Yes what you show in the picture is exactly what we need. But how can we add that?

The new business central is no longer as flexible in changing tablets, forms etc.

You first need to enter the sandbox which is usually your Business Central URL followed by /sandbox. You then need to open the 'Designer' in the same way you your would 'Personalise'. From there you are able to add many more fields / columns than you would otherwise. The difficulty comes when you then need to upload your design changes to your live system as this requires the use of Visual Studio to build .app files. I will send you a direct message and we can continue the discussion further.

Yes the sandbox/designer works great. But sandbox is only provided as a free preview solely for testing, development and evaluation. How do I get these features in the live version?

Because my Business central is completely blocked for any adjustments.

The page in your old version was customized to display those fields

Sorry, I did´t see the earlier comments at first. As Adam says, you need to develop an extension.

Hi, if i try to add that field in the Sandbox or live environment, i do not have the option to add this field.

Could you please provide me more details on how this field can be added?

I am fairly new to BC but have some experience with other ERP´s.

Thanks a lot for your help.
