Hi,
If I have a workflow which update the status of a record is there any way in which I can force the page to reload so that the new field value is being displayed.

Use an action rather than a workflow. Call that action by JavaScript and then reload the page. Will that work for you?
Are you using a Sync or Async Workfow? In CRM 2013 the common work arounds involved either using unsupported JS or a Plugin to force the reload, or updating the ProcessId. What is the Workflow trigger? If its onchange of field could use setTimeout Xrm.Page.data.refresh(), However i think Vikas suggestion of using Actions seems to be the way to go.
its a sync workflow and is triggered on status change and status reason field change. Then depending on the status reason will change the processid and stageid.
Why would the action be any different to the Sync WF?
