How can I invoke an instant flow to ask for a parameter on click of a wizard button

Hi community,

Could I get some guidance on if calling an instant flow is achievable with this:  use case: would be to invoke a flow on a click of wizard button to ask for input parameter based on another look up field and then populate the field with cancellation reason (options)?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Andrew,

Sorry not sure I understand your response. Are you saying to call action using javascript on click of ribbon button on an entity is unsupported?

    Hello,

Unfortunately, this API is not documented so it's unsupported to use it and I don't know if it is even possible.

a33ik  could this be rather achievable by js code on click of the Cancel button on the command bar of the entity form? I am slightly stuck since there is no good way to configure a popup for the on-demand flow. I am grateful for any steps/help.

    Hello,

There is no good way to open the popup for the on-demand flow. I would recommend instructing users to run the flow from "Flows" menu on the record.

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks for sharing the link - but I am unclear if the post touches on how to achieve my use case. The wizard button (Cancel) in my screenshot is a button that cancels an appointment record. Would I have to open the javascript logic of the button on the command bar in the form? I'll be grateful for your further guidance about it.
