Hi All,

I just started to study MRP and master plan. I observed that there is a menu itme " planned purchase orders" in the action pane "related infomation" of purchase order form.  I don't understand what does this  planned purchase orders mean? Why a purchase order need an another planned purchase orders? Could you  teach me? Thanks

The planned purchase orders are one of the outputs of the master planning. They precede a purchase order. By firming planned purchase orders, real purchase orders are created automatically. These orders are also known as released orders or open orders. From the purchase order, you can navigate to the planned purchase order that precedes it and inquire into all the details related to the planning.

    Hi Jacky,

This button will display the other planned purchase orders which have same vendor as PO.

There is a related discussion in this old thread that may be helpful to you.
