We copied a company setup almost two years ago, so the new company has already had two year ends.
The user had a hard time reconciling her Fixed Assets and we finally noticed the old data.
Is it safe to delete it using Clear Data or SQL? (I will be testing first).
Not sure if it is an issue but the old assets might have the same ID's because this new company was new ownership of the old company, so they are the 'same' physical assets. They did GL entries to fix but not really fix.
Thanks. I might just test a SQL stmt to remove the old trx.
Hi Barb,
The Clear Data might completely wipe out your Fixed Asset tables, if that's what you're looking for, then yes.
Otherwise, this KB article might help:
It provides the list of the technical SQL tables involved with the FA module you might want to check for.
This one could be helpful too:
Also, the PSTL (Professional Service Tools) has some functions around FA, given you have it installed.
