Handheld scanner - scanning lot codes for production orders

Hello,

I am looking to improve my production order entry process. At the moment, we make production orders, and when complete need to manually enter lot codes in the production journal for many items, and the warehouse picker has to manually write down all the lot codes as they pick. This is a time consuming task. I am wondering if there us a solution, using a hand held scanner which would allow me to generate a production order in NAV, then using the handheld device in the warehouse scan all the ingredients used in the order, scan the lots codes, then upload those lot codes and amounts picked into the production journal for the specific production order with out any manual entry?

Hello,

Absolutely there is a solution. You can implement a handheld solution to help with all your Warehouse processing (receive/put-away/pick/pack/cycle counting). I would check this solution as being the easiest to implement and I have most of my customers using it:
