If on-premises, check whether the CRM Application Pool account has read/write access to this folder on the CRM server:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\CustomizationImport

    Hello Garry,

i have assign write permission to this user on the CustomizationImport folder .

this user means the current logged in user to which i was getting error.

one more thing by using the same user i am able to create the lead record.

but not able to create the custom entity record.(i have custom entity).

this custom entity has a plugin registered on create step.

also i tried to debug the plugin but while trying to debug the plugin getting the error as below.

Unhandled Exception: System.InvalidOperationException: The plug-in type "plugin type" does not exist in the specified assembly.

Then the Network Service account is the one that needs access to the folder. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder, right-click it and select Properties -> Security -> Edit. Add the Network Service account to the list of users and make sure the Modify box is checked.

    Hello All,

I have given the permission to the folder but here is one clue.

this permission i have given to the logger folder which would have been used for the logging purpose of any error occurred in the plugin.
