We have a problem with the production environment and need some fast help.
For some reason, posting documents on our Business Central production environment (on-premise) works very slowly. For example, we need about 30+ second to post purchase order with only 3 lines, the same is on sales documents. Posting general journal or payment reconciliation journal running more than 2 hours for 2000 rows.
Creating and viewing documents have no that kind of performance problem.
We turned off all extensions, server performance is good (servers always running on less or equal 30% od capacity). We enabled telemetry on Azure (at least as far as we know how to enable it and read problems). On each slow thread reports show that it works on the Base Application level.
If you have experience with this kind of unexpected work and troubleshooting or know someone who can help us, please contact me.
We are not very experienced in Telemetry and SQL and cannot imagine what can be problem, so any help or advice will be helpful. Thank you in advance!
I don't know, but I hope that it will be solver ASAP.
Thanks for sharing!!
Do you know if this bug is solved with CU4?
Thank you for sharing outcome.
Dear Inge, I wish to share my experience... CA setup caused this problem. Microsoft have some bug in base application level. We found out what the problem is with performance profiler :)
After we turned off CA setup (auto transfer from G/L account and check G/L posting) everything works properly. :)
Already checked and no, there is no change log activated on any of that table. Thank you for your suggestion.
Just in case check if You haven't accidentally activated "Change Log" for the General Entries table, or Value Entries, or Item Ledger Entries (or other Entries that You generate when doing posting).
Dear Inge, thank you so much. Stefano already answered... I will share all results. Kind regards, Sanja
Good. I hope you get it solved and that you will share your findings here so you can help others that might experience similar situations.
Good luck and keep up the good work!
We already contacted Stefano and waiting him answer... hope to be done :)
Thank you, I really appreciate your help.
Stefano Demiliani 's blog might have some great tips for you to check out.
My current employment prohibits me from involving me directly in cases like this one except from what i can do in forums / blogs etc.
But i think you can contact Stefano and check out if he can have a discussion with you.
