Importing Items with Configuration Package does not create Item Unit of Measure

When importing a list of 1000 stock items with various base units of measure, the import does not create the Item Unit of Measure records when using the Configuration Package. When using the Data Migration tool the Item Unit of Measure is updated by the Item Template's Base unit of measure no matter what the item's base unit of measure is.

When using the Config Pack, you have to go to each record manually and add the Item Unit of Measure manually, which is very time consuming.

The import should automatically add the item unit of measure with a qty 1 since this should always be true.

Is there something I am doing wrong for the item unit of measure to be added when using the Config Package?

Thanks,

Albert

    Hello Albert,

To help with this scenario, I would recommend importing in all your Units of Measure using the Configuration Package, Table Id 204.

The Data Migration Tool and the Configuration Packages are different tools, so what they do will be different. If you would like the Configuration Package to function differently and similar to the Data Migration Tool, I would recommend entering a suggestion at the following link so others can vote on it:
