Crystal Reports Problem 40.610.00

Posted on by 782

SL 2011 FP1, SQL 2008R2.

Okay, so we recently upgraded from SL 6.5, and the users are tickled with the increased field size.

However, some of the Crystal Reports are Truncating these longer fields. My specific issue is with the order management reports, in the bill to and sold to boxes. These are text boxes with embedded formula fields.

The text boxes are long and there seems to be plenty of room for the additional characters, however it is still truncating the values. if the fields were not embedded in the text box, I could just "stretch" the field, but there does not seem to be the functionality to stretch the fields in the text box.

I did stretch the text box, adjusted the size of the text (all the way down to 6 pt.) and the values are still being truncated.

I know I could remove the text boxes and just drop the fields directly onto the report, however, then we would lose the suppress blank fields functionality.

Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

That was it...almost...I had to set the db location for each table in the report first (tedious), but then the verify db command worked without telling me it couldn't find the tables. Thanks!

Assuming that your Order Confirmation report is custom (and found in the Usr_rpts) folder, did you run the "Verify Database" option in the "Database" tab in Crystal 2008 to update the DB schema?
